Miriam Brown Johnson was born in the quit settlement of Old Bight Cat Island on May7th 1945 to thelate Erma Gilbert Brown (deceased) and David Brown (deceased). She attended the OldBight All Age School.

A TIME TO LOVE AND MARRIAGE

Miriam Brown was joined in holy matrimony by the late Edmund Johnson (deceased), Miriam wore many hats;she was a wife mother, grandmother, aunt and indeed a friend. She enjoyedcooking, baking, and farming. Miriam was family oriented and loved a strong family structure so stayed home and raised her children; Miriam wasa devoted member of St Mark Native Baptist Church Old Bight CatIsland, She later attended Old Bight Gospel Chapel. 

A TIME TO DIE 

On January 21st 2024Miriam became ill and had to attend to a doctor. The doctors on Cat Island wereconcerned about her condition so they referred her to the hospitalin Nassau. After various tests she was diagnosed with PharyngealCancer (throat cancer) samples were taken and sent away to determine thestage of the cancer. She was to return   in a monthfor her results. So she returned to Cat Island but was not able toreturn for her results. February 21st 2024 at 3: 10 pm Miriam slippedaway from time to eternity. Quiet and peaceful she bid this world goodbye andwent to a better place.

Grandchildren: Marvin, Maronique and Shyanne Johnson, Vernon.Desmond, Alton, Andesha, Remellow, Joyce and Corporal Terry Brown, Elvis,Daniel and constable Alfred Smith Jr., Elvis and Ellayah Camble, Dereck,Derissa, Demico, and Derlano McMinns
