ATIME TO DIE

After leaving Mastic Point, Andros where she hadbeen living with her older sister and niece for about a year, she came to livein Nassau with her son in August 2023.

At that time Mildred was having memory lapses andbegan to have difficulties walking and stomach issues. The beginning of 2024was a rough period for both Mildred and her son. Frequent visits to the doctorand hospital seemed to bring no relief. There came a time when she could not beleft alone.

On Saturday April 27th, 2024, a decision was made toadmit Mildred to Pat’s Home for Senior Citizens, as she needed 24hour care.  Later on that day her niece Louise came andvisited her. Louise was able to sing and pray with Mildred leading her to theLord and she was at peace in her soul. The next morning her son anddaughter-in-law were able to visit and talk with her. Both noticed somethingdifferent but could not identify what it was. They both visited Mildred againthat day for a short period.

At about 4:30pm her son was advised to come to thenursing home his mother was having difficulties. On arrival he was told his momhad passed, and was led to her bedside. Mildred laid there motionless but hadthe most peaceful smile on her face. Her son knew she was at peace.
