A Time To Be Born

It was on August 22nd1964 in the quaint settlement of Spring City, Abaco, that Ralph and AliceArthur welcomed into the world their baby girl. They named her Marilyn Patricia as she brought much delight to thealready large family.

Marilyn attended school at E PRoberts Primary School; and GHS High School, after her family relocated to NewProvidence in the early 1970’s from Abaco. After the death of her eldest sister, Naomi, Marilyn assumed the role ofcaring for Naomi’s three small children, and also the needs of her elderlyparents.

Capitalizing on her quiet andcaring spirit, she embraced the opportunity to also attend to her other Nieces,Nephews as they came along, starting with the late Carlesa Arthur, and the manybabies and children of family and friends, too many to list here.  She selflessly cared for her Eldest Brother andothers above herself.
