ATime To Be Born

OnAugust 4th, 1951 in the beautiful settlement of Little Creek, SouthAndros a bouncing baby boy was born to the late Matthew Webb McNeil and thelate Rosetta Taylor-Duncombe. They welcomed an 8lb 10oz baby boy whom theycalled Churchill Sidney. He was raised by his aunt the late Geneva Toote whogrew him up in the fear and admonishing of the Lord where he was an Adventist.Churchill was the middle child of nine siblings even though he was the middlechild he was a leader. He was educated at Pleasant Bay All Aged School. Churchillmigrated to Nassau at the early age of 13 years old where he lived with hisfather.

A Time To Work

Churchillwas always a hardworking man where he provided for his family. His first jobwas on an oil tanker. He also worked for Shell Ken Perigord Oakes Field andCoCa-Cola. ASA H Pritchard has been his place of employment for many yearsuntil his retirement in December 2021.

ATime To Love

“Whosofindeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.”Proverbs 18:22

In1978 while attending a birthday party a rare gem caught Churchill’s eye. He wasintroduced to this Exuma native Augusta Clarke. On September 27th, 1980 at Bahamas Holy Bible MissionChurchill and Augusta was joined together in Holy Matrimony. They loved eachother very much and care for each other. When you saw Churchill you saw Augustathey were two peas in a pod. She affectionately calls him ‘Sidney' and hecalled her ‘Gusta’. Their love grew stronger spending 41 consecutive yearstogether until his demise.

Churchillhad many hobbies and talents but most of all he enjoyed gardening. He loved hisfamily and coming together for all celebrations to ‘party in the backyard’ ashe loved to say. As long there was family and lots of food, he was happy.

SpiritualWalk

Churchillloved Augusta but he also loved his God so he worshipped together with hisfamily at The Church of God of Prophecy, Baillou Hill Road. It was because ofher consistent prayers, love and encouragement he gave his life to the Lord, became a member and was baptized. As Churchill prayed to the Lord, he alwaysasked the Lord to help him knowing that he could not make it without Him.During this time, he was a part of the national Parking Committee and also athis local church he was a part of the Usher board, Couples Ministry and Men’sMinistry.

ATime to Die
