On the tranquil and beautiful Pristine Island of the Exumasa son was born on the 4th of June 1949, to the proud parents Wilbur Albert andRachel (Roach) Gibson (both deceased) they named him Albert Henry.

He was the sixth of eight children, two of whom hepredeceased. Al, as he was affectionately called, was so very quiet andmusically inclined at a very early age, as he often made music by beating onhis ear so that he would make music whilst he sang. He always had a mind of hisown and did things his way.

Family devotions were the norm in the Gibsons home wherehis father Pastor Wilbur preached to all of his children. Therefore, Al was therecipient of christian upbringing and spiritual coverage by his loving family, especially his mother.

Al attended the Rokers Point all age school where PenbrokeE. Ferguson was the principal, he was also a member of the Church of God ofProphecy Steventon under the leadership of Pastor Reckley and MichelleArmbrister.  Later, Al moved to Nassau where he attended the Englerstonchurch of God of Prophecy, next door to where he lived and he along withneighbors and friends started a singing group called the Mighty Clouds of Joy.Al had the voice of an angel and throughout his singing career, he used it toglorify his God.

Later, Al met Godfrey (gully) and the late Dr. Myles Munroeand they formed the world renowned group called the Visionaires with Myles onthe keyboard, Godfrey (gully) Newry on the bass and lead Guitar, Drummer LeonBowe and Tyrone as second keyboard player. This Group travelled all over the USand throughout the Bahama Islands making melodies to the lord, touching livesand inspiring many persons.

Albert was a Bahamian icon in music and his talent wasnatural. His gift was a blessing to the world as he was lead singer andsongwriter of the group. A quiet but gentle giant, Al met and married MinervaAlbury daughter of the late Preston Albury, M.P and they were blessed with fourchildren, Avalton, Albert Junior, Angel Bonnie and Andrew Gibson.  Allater met and married Samantha Curry, daughter of Victor Curry (deceased) andDiana Rolle of Exuma and they were blessed with three children, Judah, Aljeneand Alphanique Gibson. He spent most of his years living in Steventon, Exumawhere he worked hard as a carpenter and owner of a convenience storeserving the community. After spending many of his years in exuma he fell illand later travelled to Nassau for further medical assistance. He remained inNassau and received treatment up to the time that he was hospitalized. Havingspent a short while in hospital Al was called home to glory to live with Jesuson the other side. He is now singing with the choir of angels in that eternalhome.

The memoryof Albert will forever linger in the hearts of his family and Friends.
